With the launch of the new Formula 1 season, Richard Mille and Ferrari have officially unveiled a brand-new collaborative timepieceRM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari. This marks another masterpiece following their 2022 release of the ultra-thin RM UP-01 Ultraflat Ferrari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the design of this tourbillon split-seconds chronograph, Ferrari’s design center, Centro Stile, infused the watch with numerous aesthetic elements. These include details like the crown, hands, and strap inspired by the Purosangue. The lower-left corner of the dial features an open movement design, emphasizing a titanium plate engraved with the recognizable prancing horse emblem\u2014a design element drawn from the rear wing of the 499P racing car. This titanium plate undergoes meticulous processes such as micro-sandblasting, satin-finishing, beveling, and polishing, highlighting Richard Mille’s exceptional craftsmanship. Furthermore, this timepiece integrates various features inspired by Ferrari\u2019s top-tier engineering. The design is reminiscent of the engine cylinder block and crankcase of their cars, showcasing intricate angular structures, prominent ridges, and striking surfaces, all accentuated with gold hexagonal screws for decoration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the dial design, the layout of the mainspring jewels is influenced by the clutch wheel of a V8 engine, while the case shape and button design draw inspiration from the 488 Challenge Evo and SF90 Stradale. The skeletonized chronograph counters on the dial mimic the modern Ferrari dashboard’s tachometer. The watch’s movement, co-designed by Richard Mille and their trusted partner Audemars Piguet Le Locle, boasts a 70-hour power reserve and a torque indicator, and features a tourbillon escapement, showcasing precision and innovative performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
