Recently, Sony has unveiled a new lineup of products, including the ECM-778 professional shotgun microphone, the CFexpress Type A memory cards CEA-G1920T (1920 GB) and CEA-G960T (960 GB), and the MRW-G3 CFexpress Type A card reader. These products are designed to meet the needs of sound capture, data storage, and transmission in professional audio-visual recording, providing support especially for creators in film, television series, and documentaries.<\/p>\n

The ECM-778 is a single-channel high-resolution microphone that boasts outstanding recording performance. Its key technological highlights include a newly developed voice coil, brass sound tube, and innovative circuit board design. The improved voice coil is capable of capturing subtle sounds and high-frequency vibrations, while the brass sound tube effectively suppresses lateral and rear noise. Combined with components like a film capacitor, this microphone ultimately achieves clear, expansive high-frequency output and stable mid-low frequency performance. Whether used in a studio or for outdoor shoots, and in various modes such as close-up or long-distance pickup, this microphone consistently delivers excellent sound quality.<\/p>\n

In terms of practicality, the ECM-778 showcases its lightweight characteristics: measuring just 176 millimeters in length and weighing 102 grams. The included mount and adapter design not only make it easy to install on a recording boom pole but also allow for direct connection to compatible cameras, including the Sony Cinema Line and Alpha series mirrorless cameras, effectively minimizing interference in tight shooting spaces. Additionally, its body features an aluminum housing, equipped with a built-in low-cut switch and two types of windshields (foam and furry) to adapt to various complex shooting environments.<\/p>\n

During the development process, Sony collaborated closely with sound engineers from the film production industry, optimizing product details through practical testing and feedback to ensure that the final product meets professional requirements.<\/p>\n

These cards support the CFexpress 4 standard, with read speeds exceeding 1800MB\/s and write speeds reaching 1700MB\/s\u2014effectively doubling the performance of the previous generation.
