The mechanism is designed to recreate the distinctive opening choreography of the real Koenigsegg car, and to make the model more engaging to operate and to display.

LEGO described Ghost Mode as an engineered linkage that coordinates the movement of several panels, improving both play interaction and visual presentation when the model is exhibited.

Transmission, indicators and mechanical detail

LEGO said the model includes a working nine speed sequential gearbox and a rotating gear indicator disk that shows the current gear. The complex drivetrain is intended to let builders get a hands on sense for how a high performance supercar transmits power.

The model also features a simulated V8 piston engine with moving pistons, a steerable steering system and a removable roof panel, all intended to raise the set’s technical fidelity, LEGO said.

Triplex suspension and chassis realism

One key highlight is a front and rear Triplex suspension system that closely mirrors Koenigsegg engineering, according to LEGO. The arrangement is designed to present a closer approximation of the car’s real chassis than a standard suspension setup, improving realism for static display and mechanical study.

LEGO noted that the Triplex suspension, together with the working steering and gearbox, makes the set one of the most mechanically complex models in the Ultimate Car Concept Series.

Size, proportions and display appeal

The finished model measures about 59 centimeters long and 28 centimeters wide, giving it a substantial presence for tabletop display. LEGO said the large scale plus detailed body lines make the set attractive both as a collector piece and as a study in mechanical design.

LEGO added that the 1:8 scale was chosen to balance display impact with the ability to include moving components and interior detail.

Full size drivable replica shown at Goodwood

To mark the launch, LEGO built a full size drivable replica composed of 327,906 LEGO elements, with a total mass of about 1,800 kilograms, LEGO said. The company added that roughly 400 kilograms of that mass came from LEGO bricks.

LEGO credited driver Markus Lundh for a demonstration run at Goodwood, saying he completed a reverse run on a hill section and recorded a top speed of 111 kilometers per hour, about 69 miles per hour. LEGO said that performance exceeded a prior record of 50 kilometers per hour for similar demonstrations.

Availability, preorder and promotional gift

LEGO said the LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Megacar (42232) will be available for early purchase by LEGO Insiders starting July 1, with wider release on July 4 through the LEGO online shop and selected LEGO Stores.

Customers who buy the set between July 1 and July 6 will receive a complimentary LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear Steering Wheel set (40894), while supplies last, LEGO said.

For more details and full technical specifications, LEGO directed customers to the official LEGO online store and to its press materials.

LEGO Technic Koenigsegg set 42232 is a 1:8, 4,104 piece megacar with Ghost Mode, Triplex suspension and a 1:1 drivable replica shown at Goodwood.

[5032
40158,24125,21875,30913,10584,2374,24427
post-962934","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-design-en-2","tag-40158","tag-automotive","tag-collectible","tag-goodwood","tag-koenigsegg","tag-lego","tag-models

<amp-carousel width="780" height="520" layout="responsive" type="slides" autoplay="" delay="30000" role="region" aria-label="Carousel with autoplay"><amp-img src="https://ztylezman.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/ztylezman.com_images-1-1033.webp" width="780" height="520" layout="responsive" alt="ztylezman.com_images-1-1033"></amp-img><amp-img src="https://ztylezman.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/ztylezman.com_images-1-1034.webp" width="780" height="520" layout="responsive" alt="ztylezman.com_images-1-1034"></amp-img><amp-img src="https://ztylezman.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/ztylezman.com_images-1-1035.webp" width="780" height="520" layout="responsive" alt="ztylezman.com_images-1-1035"></amp-img><amp-img src="https://ztylezman.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/ztylezman.com_images-1-1032.webp" width="780" height="520" layout="responsive" alt="ztylezman.com_images-1-1032"></amp-img></amp-carousel>

LEGO Technic Koenigsegg Sadair's Spear Megacar (42232) is the newest entry in the LEGO Technic Ultimate Car Concept Series, a 1:8 scale model made from 4,104 pieces, LEGO said.

LEGO Technic Koenigsegg brings Ghost Mode and synchronized openings

The set's headline innovation is a new Ghost Mode function that, with a single action, opens multiple body panels at once, including the rear deck, dual axis synchronized doors and the front hood, LEGO said.
