Recently, Type 7 teamed up with Porsche Motorsport to launch a book titled Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport, which provides a unique artistic perspective to delve deeply into the successes and stories behind the brand. This special edition book, designed and photographed in the restricted areas of Porsche's Flacht and Weissach, consists of 550 pages, documenting over 250 precious collectibles across the ages.
This project is led by ERG Media, featuring creator Thomas Walk who employs high-resolution photography to focus on the Textures Raceborn pieces and the marks left by time, delving into the innovation behind them. Concurrently, the book has also collaborated with Porsche's corporate archives, offering a comprehensive narrative that includes exclusive interviews with legendary team leader Roger Penske, along with factory drivers Richard Lietz and Pascal Wehrlein.
On the design front, this book is orchestrated by Andy Cruz of House Industries, featuring a deep red embossed cover that pays homage to the binders of the 1960s. Weighing in at 7.7 kg, this English-language book is priced at 350 euros (approximately 405 dollars), undoubtedly providing automotive culture enthusiasts with an exceptional tactile collecting experience.
