Aston Martin’s most powerful flagship sports car, the Vanquish, was officially unveiled at its Hong Kong showroom, marking the legendary supercar’s triumphant return. The launch event was hosted by Andy Haslam, President of Aston Martin Greater China, and Gordon Choy, Managing Director of Aston Martin Hong Kong. Attendees were treated to a special showcase of the globally limited edition Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, along with the Aston Martin limited edition GP Girard-Perregaux Laureato chronograph, adding glamour to the event. The new Vanquish continues the brand’s V12 supercar tradition, featuring a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that produces a whopping 835 PS and peak torque of 1000 Nm, with a top speed of 345 km/h. This flagship sports car is equipped with the latest Boost Reserve technology, enabling faster release of turbo pressure, enhancing power delivery efficiency to ensure peak performance during acceleration, overtaking, and high-performance driving.
The chassis stiffness of the Vanquish has been increased by 75% compared to the DBS 770 Ultimate, featuring the all-new Bilstein DTX dampers and an electronic limited-slip differential (E-diff) that enhance steering response and cornering stability. To ensure safety at high speeds, the Vanquish is equipped with a carbon ceramic braking system (CCB), with front brake discs measuring 410mm in diameter and rear discs at 360mm, maintaining stable braking performance even at temperatures of 800°C. Additionally, it reduces unsprung weight by 27 kg, making handling more responsive. The Electronic Stability Control (ESP) system offers multiple driving modes, including GT, Sport, Sport+, and ESP track mode, allowing drivers to switch according to road conditions, making it easy to handle whether for everyday driving or high-speed maneuvers.
In terms of exterior design, the all-new Vanquish features elongated body proportions, with an 80mm increase in the distance from the A-pillar to the front axle, sculpting a more streamlined sports car silhouette and further enhancing aerodynamic performance. It comes standard with a panoramic glass roof that not only provides an expansive view but also employs low-radiation coating technology to block 94% of ultraviolet radiation, improving interior comfort. The front is adorned with a newly enlarged grille, its area increased by 13% compared to the DBS 770 Ultimate, which aids in engine cooling and is equipped with F1 racing-style vents for enhanced cooling efficiency. At the rear, the vehicle showcases LED blade-style taillights, inspired by the Valkyrie supercar, where seven independent light sources create a distinctive Aston Martin lighting signature. The newly designed cam tail enhances high-speed stability, featuring a quad stainless steel exhaust system that delivers a richer, bolder exhaust sound, with an optional titanium exhaust system available for a more nuanced tone while also reducing weight by 10.5 kilograms.
In terms of interior, the Vanquish introduces a brand new design language that lowers the height of the center console, creating a more spacious driving environment. It features a standard 10.25-inch full digital TFT instrument panel that provides real-time driving data and supports customizable display settings. The center console is equipped with a 10.25-inch pure black touchscreen that integrates wireless Apple CarPlay and the Harmony OS smart system, enhancing the user experience. Physical knobs and metal-feel buttons retain the classic operation style of Aston Martin, ensuring intuitive control while driving. Standard Sports Plus seats offer exceptional comfort, with an option for carbon fiber high-performance seats to further reduce weight and enhance driving support. In terms of the audio system, the Vanquish is equipped with a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system featuring 15 speakers, ensuring an ultimate sound quality experience.
As the flagship model of Aston Martin, the Vanquish is produced in a global limited edition of no more than 1,000 units per year. It is now available for pre-order in Hong Kong, destined to become a dream piece for supercar collectors.
