At the 101st Brussels Motor Show, FIAT, Abarth, and FIAT Professional showcased their latest masterpieces during a nine-day extravaganza that ran from January 11th to 19th. This event turned out to be a visual feast of Italian design and innovation for car enthusiasts and professionals in Belgium.
Of course, all eyes are on the brand-new Fiat Grande Panda! This little gem made its debut during Fiat’s 125th Anniversary Celebration and has just launched in the Belgian market with its electric and hybrid versions now up for grabs. The Grande Panda Hybrid sports a snappy 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and an eDCT dual-clutch transmission, pumping out a cool 100 horsepower. Whether you’re a Pop, Icon, or La Prima kind of driver, there’s a model just for you, catering to all your driving needs.
Abarth has seriously upped its game by rolling out two stunning electric models: the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima and the Abarth 500e. Bringing exclusivity to a whole new level, the limited edition 600e Scorpionissima dazzles in a signature Hypnotic Purple. Under the hood, it packs a punch with a 280-horsepower electric engine that sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.85 seconds, topping out at 200 km/h. And with a range of 334 kilometers per charge (WLTP), it’s not just about speed; it’s about going the distance, too. Crafted on the high-performance Perfo eCMP platform, a brainchild of the collaboration between Abarth and Stellantis Motorsport, this ride is hailed as the strongest performer in the marque’s history. Dive into the future of driving in style and oomph with Abarth’s electric trailblazers!
The Abarth 500e makes a splash in Acid Green, marrying compact design with exceptional performance. It comes specially equipped with the Sound Generator system, which brings the classic Abarth engine roar to life, injecting a fresh thrill into electric driving.
In an electrifying fusion of style and sustainability, FIAT has teamed up with Giorgio Armani to roll out the exclusive 500e Giorgio Armani edition— a testament to Italian chic at its finest. The Fiat Topolino, a compact electric microcar, stretches just 2.53 meters in length, but don’t let its size fool you. This baby is all about delivering a sustainable urban mobility solution without skimping on environmental responsibility or practicality. It’s literally packing eco-friendly elegance into every square inch.
Meanwhile, FIAT Professional’s Ducato is also stealing the spotlight. This L2H2 panel van, equipped with a 140-horsepower diesel engine, boasts an impressive 17 cubic meters of cargo space and a carrying capacity of 2 tons. As a benchmark in the commercial vehicle sector, it has clinched the Best Camper Van Base award for 16 consecutive years, standing out as a true leader in its class.
At the recent Brussels Motor Show, FIAT and Abarth totally stole the spotlight, showcasing the deep-rooted design heritage and tech-savvy allure of the Italian brand. Whether it’s the super practical Grande Panda or the high-performance Abarth 600e, both rides drip with authentic Italian flair. As a car enthusiast, I’m all for Abarth’s electrifying shift. It not only keeps the thrill of driving alive but also cruises at the forefront of the eco-friendly wave.
