Bentley has announced the launch of the new generation Continental GT Supersports, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s revival of the century-old Supersports lineage. This latest model not only redefines performance limits but also showcases a rear-wheel drive and a comprehensive lightweight design, reflecting the brand’s fresh interpretation of the ultimate driving experience.

Introducing the all-new Supersports, featuring a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine that churns out an astonishing 657 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and a pure rear-wheel drive setup, it’s the only non-hybrid variant of the Continental GT, breaking away from the traditional all-wheel-drive configuration. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 192 mph (about 309 km/h). In comparison to the Continental GT Speed, the Supersports boasts a dramatic weight reduction of over 1,000 pounds, keeping its total weight under 2,000 kilograms, making it the lightest GT model ever produced by Bentley.

Performance enhancements go beyond just the engine output. The vehicle’s rear axle has been widened by 16mm and features an electronic limited-slip differential, torque vectoring brake control, and a rear-wheel steering system. Combined with a completely recalibrated suspension, steering, and traction control settings, this new model outperforms the GT Speed by 30% in cornering and can withstand up to 1.3G of lateral centrifugal force, matching the data of supercars.

In terms of suspension, it features a dual wishbone front suspension combined with a multi-link rear suspension design, paired with a 48V active roll control system that can suppress body roll within 0.3 seconds, ensuring stability when cornering at high speeds. The braking system includes 10-piston calipers and carbon-silicon-ceramic brake discs with a diameter of 440 millimeters at the front, while the rear is equipped with 4-piston calipers and 410 millimeter discs, making it one of the largest specifications among production cars.
There are three driving modes on offer. The Touring mode is perfect for long-distance comfort driving, the Bentley mode enhances throttle and chassis responsiveness, while the Sport mode fully unleashes power and handling potential, tailored for intense driving on winding roads.

The exterior design of the car maintains a track-inspired style, featuring the largest front bumper ever fitted, complete with an integrated carbon fiber splitter. Each side is equipped with two canards to help reduce lift. At the rear, there’s a new carbon fiber diffuser and a fixed wing that adds up to 661 pounds of downforce, enhancing high-speed stability. The wheels are specially designed by Manthey Racing in a lightweight 22-inch forged style, further reducing unsprung weight.

The interior also targets weight reduction, completely removing the rear seats and rear sound system in favor of low-mounted lightweight racing bucket seats. These seats feature a high-wrap design and come in options of single-color, dual-color, or tri-color interior combinations, incorporating materials like leather, Dinamica, and carbon fiber accents to balance style and functionality. To further enhance the auditory experience for drivers, the original manufacturer has equipped the vehicle with an Akrapovic full titanium exhaust system, allowing the engine’s roar to resonate clearly within the cabin.

As a limited edition masterpiece, only 500 units will be produced worldwide, each equipped with its own exclusive number. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley, stated that the Supersports is not only the most driver-oriented model in the brand’s history, but it also symbolizes a bolder and more adventurous new direction for the brand. He emphasized that this is the first model he has led from the ground up since taking office, and he feels proud of the speed and results achieved by the team.
The official recommended retail price has not yet been announced, but it’s expected to exceed the current base price of the Continental GT, which stands at $285,000. Interested buyers will be able to place orders starting in March 2026, with production set to officially begin by the end of the year.
