Mercedes-Benz is actively expanding its electric product line, recently unveiling the all-new electric GLC model. This car is fully equipped with the latest EQ technology, aimed at enhancing performance, extending range, and accelerating charging speed, all while maintaining its signature luxury and versatility.
Before its official launch, the electric GLC underwent rigorous testing in extreme environments such as Arjeplog, Sweden, successfully tackling challenges of sub-zero temperatures, icy roads, and treacherous snow tracks. During these trials, the advanced 4MATIC all-wheel drive system and intelligent torque distribution technology ensured exceptional grip, stability, and driving confidence.
Christoph Starzynski, the Vice President of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, stated: “Our all-new electric GLC makes no compromises, showcasing exceptional reliability and sturdiness, especially during winter testing in Sweden.”
The all-new GLC model features an 800-volt architecture, enabling ultra-fast DC charging capabilities of over 320 kW, particularly enhancing efficiency in cold climates. Its heat pump technology maximizes energy utilization, not only extending range but also ensuring passenger comfort. Meanwhile, the dual-speed rear electric drive unit is developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-Benz, optimizing energy consumption while delivering astonishing power output.
Currently, Mercedes-Benz has not announced the specific pricing and release information for the electric version of the GLC. For those interested, you can stay tuned for updates.
