Since 2022, H. Moser & Cie. has broken the boundaries of luxury watchmaking by launching the first series of the Pioneer Innovation Three Hands Genesis watch, marking the beginning of this brand’s trilogy of Events. This piece not only innovates in terms of design but also integrates blockchain technology and NFTs into its core design, symbolizing the first encounter between the traditional and digital worlds. At that time, only 50 units were available, restricted to select collectors, making it the first luxury watch collection mechanism based on Web3 in the industry.

The design of the Genesis watch is incredibly avant-garde, showcasing a super black Vantablack® dial paired with pixel-style hands and bezel. This creation creates a detachment from reality, emphasizing concepts of virtuality and futurism, while embodying a digital identity tied to NFTs. This approach posed a challenge to the market at the time, but successfully captured the attention of numerous collectors and media, opening a successful dialogue between the brand and a new generation of collectors.

Two years later, H. Moser & Cie. is ushering in the second chapter of the Kejadian series —— Streamliner Genesis 2. This new creation is also produced in a limited run of just 100 pieces, but it shifts the focus away from virtual elements, stepping back from the digital narrative to embrace physical quality and craftsmanship in watchmaking, emphasizing touch, weight, and presence.
The Streamliner Genesis 2 continues the iconic pixel geometric design language of this series, featuring an overall structure built upon a 40mm pillow-shaped stainless steel case. Its naturally curved sapphire crystal flows seamlessly into the integrated stainless steel bracelet, preserving the brand’s classic aerodynamic silhouette while considering ergonomics. This time around, a titanium crown crafted through 3D printing has been added, not only maintaining the metallic detail from the first chapter but also enhancing the overall quality and futuristic vibe.

The dial section features a layer of Vantablack® technology, a man-made material that absorbs 99.965% of light, recognized as one of the deepest black materials available today. This provides an incredibly pure visual effect that appears almost limitless when worn. Combined with the same pixelated hour and minute hand design, and enhanced with Globolight® decoration, it successfully retains the iconic character of the first generation, resulting in an overall look that is more understated and possesses a calmer quality.
At its core, the Streamliner Genesis 2 features an in-house HMC 203 automatic movement. This impressive mechanism boasts a diameter of 32mm and a thickness of 5.5mm, complete with a bi-directional gear-based automatic winding system and a solid 18K gold rotor, ensuring a minimum power reserve of three days. The movement’s bridge plate showcases partially engraved sections, adorned with Moser’s signature double track pattern and a grey finish, reflecting the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship and robust watchmaking expertise.

Water resistance reaches up to 120 meters, enhancing its functionality to meet everyday usage needs. The overall look is dominated by a highly minimalist composition, yet every detail has been thoughtfully considered, reflecting a futuristic theme and a revival of materials from the Genesis series.

There’s a striking similarity to the first work, especially in its design language and narrative context. Streamliner Genesis 2 isn’t just a straightforward extension of the first chapter; it’s a material translation of the essence from the previous creation. If we say that the courage of creator Triple-G Genesis is the key to unlocking the virtual door, then Genesis 2 is the process of forging imagination into stainless steel, creating a bridge between the digital realm and reality. Together, they form a powerful contrast but consistently showcase a cohesive narrative.

The design of the crown on the right side is one of the most evident connections between the two generations of this work. Genesis 2 utilizes the same 3D-printed titanium crown as its predecessor, maintaining the pixelated geometric profile and the M brand logo, both visually and in metallic texture, ensuring that they remain in harmony with the original. This creates a clear resonance between the two and further strengthens the overall consistency of the design series.

When it comes to the value of the collection, it becomes increasingly precious due to its rarity and unique mechanism. Genesis 2 isn’t available for public sale; instead, it’s limited to just 100 pieces, with only 50 original watch owners allowed to place their orders first and receive an invitation, along with the option to bring one guest into this exclusive circle. This system, where collectors directly choose their successors, transforms this watch into a continuation of a story, further deepening the profound connection between the brand and the collectors.
H. Moser & Cie. has chosen to develop its products in a dramatically interconnected way through the Trilogy, where each watch doesn’t stand alone but is part of a layered narrative structure. Genesis 2, as one of the key chapters, offers a profound response in design, technology, and emotion to its predecessor, while leaving room for imagination for the third chapter. From the narrative of Web3 technology to material interpretation, this brand clearly outlines new possibilities within the contemporary world of horology.

For collectors who already own the early works of Genesis, Genesis 2 is clearly not just an extension of the series, but an inseparable chapter in the entire narrative. With its intricate design and limited quantity, along with a closed collection system, this piece carries significant artistic meaning and potential for increased value. For collectors, it’s not just a work of art; it’s a visible story of time.
