Since 2022, H. Moser & Cie. has shattered the conventional boundaries of luxury watchmaking, unveiling the first releases from the third-generation “Genesis” series as part of a brand trilogy called Form. This piece goes beyond mere innovation in aesthetics; it has also incorporated blockchain technology and NFTs into its core design, symbolizing the first convergence of the traditional and digital worlds. At that time, the release was limited to just 50 pieces, allowing only a select few collectors to participate, and it has become a prototype for a Web3-based luxury watch collecting system in the watch industry.

The design of the iconic Genesis watch from the Innovator collection is strikingly advanced, featuring a watch face in deep Vantablack® black, with pixel-designed markers and bezel that creates a sense of separation from the real world, reflecting a virtual concept and a futuristic direction. Additionally, it comes with a digital identity compatible with NFTs. This innovation posed a challenge to the market at the time, yet it garnered significant attention from collectors and media alike, helping the brand to open a dialogue with a new generation of collectors.

After two years, H. Moser & Cie. welcomes the second chapter of the creation series — Streamliner Genesis 2. This new masterpiece is also a limited edition of 100 pieces, but it doesn’t focus on virtual elements; instead, it breaks away from the digital narrative to return to the essence of materials and the passion for watchmaking, emphasizing touch, weight, and the feeling of presence.
The Streamliner Genesis 2 watch continues to showcase the distinctive engineering design language of the series, featuring a 40-millimeter cushion-shaped case crafted from stainless steel, complemented by a naturally extending curved sapphire crystal that flows seamlessly into the connected steel bracelet. Maintaining its classic aerodynamic shape, the watch also considers body-friendly design aspects. In this version, a 3D-printed titanium crown has been added, elevating not only the metallic touch introduced in the first release but also enhancing the overall sense of quality and futurism.

The watch face continues to utilize Vantablack® coating technology, a handcrafted material capable of absorbing 99.965% of light, making it one of the deepest black materials currently recognized. When worn, it reflects an exceptionally pure appearance, almost boundless. With the hour and minute indicators designed accurately, Globolight® embellishments have been added, preserving the features of the first generation while providing a more subdued and sophisticated look.
When it comes to movement, the Streamliner Genesis 2 watch features the automatic movement HMC 203, crafted in-house by the brand itself. This movement has a diameter of 32 millimeters and a thickness of 5.5 millimeters, boasting a dual-direction automatic winding system powered by a double spring along with a crown made from 18-karat gold, providing at least three days of power reserve. The upper portion of the dial is adorned with a partially engraved design, highlighted with double lines and a gray coating, where every detail is meticulously processed, reflecting the brand’s strong craftsmanship in watchmaking.

This watch boasts an impressive water resistance of up to 120 meters, enhancing its practicality for everyday use. The overall design is dominated by a minimalist aesthetic, yet every detail has been thoughtfully considered, reflecting a theme of the future and a return to materials in the Genesis collection.

The “Streamliner Genesis 2” shares a design language and narrative context with its predecessor. However, it’s not merely a simple extension of the first chapter; rather, it’s a tangible translation of the spirit of the earlier work. If we see “Genesis” as the key to unlock a virtual gateway, then “Genesis 2” symbolizes the forging of imagination into stainless steel, acting as a bridge between the digital realm and reality. Together, they create a powerful contrast, yet they deliver a cohesive narrative in an interconnected way.

The design of the crown on the right side showcases one of the clearest connections between the two works from different generations. The Genesis 2 model utilizes the same titanium crown crafted with 3D printing technology as seen in the first piece, preserving the symmetrical geometric shape and the brand’s signature mark. Both elements reflect the same spirit in terms of visual appeal and metallic feel, enhancing the design harmony of the entire collection series.

When it comes to the value of collectibles, their significance is amplified by their rarity and unique mechanisms. The Genesis 2 watch isn’t available for public sale; only around 100 pieces are issued, and priority is given to just 50 owners for pre-orders. This grants them the right to invite someone else to join this exclusive collection. This mechanism, which allows collectors to choose their successors, transforms the watch into a continuation of a story and further strengthens the deep connections between the brand and watch collectors.
H. Moser & Cie. has chosen to develop its products in a dramatically triadic way, where each watch is not just a standalone piece, but rather part of a connected and sequential narrative. The Genesis 2 is considered one of the core chapters, deeply resonating in terms of design, technology, and emotions with previous works, while leaving space for imagination in the third chapter. From the narrative of Web3 technology to its tangible interpretation, the brand clearly defines another type of potential in the contemporary watch industry.

For art enthusiasts who own the first piece from the Genesis series, Genesis 2 isn’t just an extension—it’s an essential chapter in the overarching narrative. Its meticulous design and limited availability, combined with a closed collection system, lend this piece both artistic significance and investment potential. Collecting these memorabilia transcends mere artwork; it’s also a visual narrative of time.
