Mercedes-AMG has recently announced the launch of its CLA 45 S Final Edition, a high-performance special edition designed as a glorious farewell to this compact sports sedan series. It is expected to arrive in limited numbers at U.S. dealerships in the near future. This new model features a unique MANUFAKTUR Mountain Grey Magno paint finish, boldly showcasing a black and yellow color scheme, complemented by 19-inch matte black forged wheels and yellow details, along with an exclusive aerodynamics package tested in AMG's wind tunnel.
In terms of the powertrain, Final Edition carries over the officially handcrafted 2.0-liter AMG turbocharged engine, delivering an impressive 416 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, achieving unrivaled performance with a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in just 4.0 seconds. This power is efficiently transferred through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, which features specially designed torque vectoring and drift mode functions to ensure drivers enjoy unparalleled handling excitement.
In terms of interior design, Final Edition offers AMG Performance sports seats, featuring an innovative combination of black MB-Tex synthetic leather and ultra-fine microfiber, beautifully accented with vibrant yellow contrast stitching throughout the vehicle. The dashboard, door trim, and AMG Performance steering wheel are adorned with yellow elements, along with exclusive badges, yellow-stitched floor mats, and illuminated AMG welcome pedals, all contributing to an enhanced sense of luxury in the interior.
The CLA 45 S Final Edition comes equipped with the AMG Night Package Plus and the Aerodynamics Package Plus, designed to deliver nearly track-level performance for drivers. It also boasts exquisite luxury features, marking a perfect conclusion in the history of AMG's compact performance sedans. While the limited availability and specific pricing for this model have yet to be announced, considering the standard CLA 45 S starts at approximately $67,050 in the U.S., it's expected that the price for Final Edition will be higher.
