Croatia's electric vehicle brand, Rimac Automobili, has recently introduced the Nevera R, shattering expectations with its outstanding performance and setting an impressive 24 new performance records. Notably, it reclaimed the title of the world's fastest production car with a remarkable time of 25.79 seconds, surpassing the previous record by over four seconds. This elite electric supercar currently holds the top spot for the fastest accelerating production car globally.
The Nevera R boasts a staggering 2,107 horsepower with its quad-motor system and a recalibrated torque vectoring system, achieving a blistering 0-60 mph acceleration in just 1.66 seconds and a top speed of 431.45 km/h (268.2 mph). Its outstanding performance metrics also highlight a 0-100 km/h time of 1.72 seconds, a 0-300 km/h sprint in 7.89 seconds, and a quarter-mile dash completed in just 7.90 seconds. Key upgrades for this vehicle include a redesigned aerodynamic kit that increases downforce by 15%, alongside brand new Michelin Cup 2 tires, enhancing aerodynamic efficiency by an impressive 10%.
The Nevera R has also significantly enhanced its cornering grip, traction, and braking performance, with an impressive 0–100–0 km/h stopping record of just 3.32 seconds as its best proof. This new record showcases a remarkable advancement over the original Nevera, which had previously set 23 performance records in a single day.
The Nevera R is produced in a limited run of just 40 units worldwide, with prices starting at €2.3 million.
