Mercedes-Benz unveils the “Class of Creators” creative collaboration program, teaming up with innovative talents from the cultural scene to explore future design and creativity through the all-new CLA. Among the participants are four-time Grammy-nominated American rapper Ice Spice, Swedish interior designer Gustaf Westman, American fashion designer and artist Colm Dillane (KidSuper), as well as the gaming platform League of Legends and toy car brand Hot Wheels. Each creator will craft unique works of art inspired by the CLA, which will be revealed at various global events, seamlessly blending Mercedes-Benz’s brand spirit with the creative DNA of the artists, paving the way for a fresh visual and driving experience.
At an exclusive event held for invited guests, Mercedes-Benz showcased the new CLA in Rome against the backdrop of a romantic, twinkling city night, highlighting the elegance and forward-thinking design of this model. The all-new CLA has been enhanced in various aspects, including a more spacious cabin, upgraded interior details, a more comfortable driving experience, and a smarter operating system. This model is the first to feature the Mercedes-Benz proprietary AI enhancement system (MB.OS), integrating Microsoft and Google AI to deliver a personalized MBUX interactive experience that redefines the standards for smart vehicles.
In its pure electric version, the all-new CLA is equipped with an 800V electrical architecture and a new battery technology that significantly reduces charging time. The CLA 250+ can replenish 325 km of range in just 10 minutes, with a maximum range of up to 792 km, showcasing industry-leading electric performance. The illuminated grille and star-shaped daytime running lights are standout design features, while the interior offers an optional floating MBUX super screen, creating a tech-savvy driving atmosphere. Inspired by Zen gardens, the design perfectly combines technology and comfort through minimalist aesthetics.
Sustainability is at the heart of the all-new CLA, with a 40% reduction in carbon footprint compared to its fuel-powered predecessor. The body is crafted using four times more recycled plastic than before, with 50% sourced from post-consumer recycled materials. The internal structure of the seats layer upon layer utilizes recycled materials, while the floor is made entirely of 100% regenerated Econyl fibers. By optimizing the supply chain and green charging technologies, the carbon emissions of the all-new CLA can be reduced further to one-third, setting a new standard for electric vehicles.
