To celebrate the upcoming International Pride Month, Apple has announced the launch of the brand-new 2025 Pride Collection. This includes the Apple Watch Pride Edition Sport Band, coordinated watch face designs, and background images, aiming to showcase an affirmation of the diversity and uniqueness of the LGBTQ+ community. The Apple Watch band is now available for pre-order in Hong Kong, priced at HK$379, and is expected to officially hit shelves at Apple Store next week.
The brand-new Pride Edition sport band is meticulously handcrafted, with each piece skillfully assembled from various shapes and rainbow stripes of differing widths, creating a truly unique visual effect. This exquisite craftsmanship is designed to represent the distinctive personalities of every individual within the LGBTQ+ community. The band is available in three sizes: 40mm, 42mm, and 46mm, and offers two length options: S/M (suitable for wrist sizes 130mm to 180mm) and M/L (suitable for wrist sizes 150mm to 200mm).
Launching alongside the Pride Edition straps are the Pride Harmony watch face and background images. The watch face takes inspiration from traditional analog clocks, featuring bold rainbow stripes that dynamically shift with the movements of the wearer’s wrist. This creates a striking and rhythmical display, with oversized numerals changing as part of the motion. For iPhone and iPad, the background images react to actions like locking, unlocking, and device movements, triggering color changes and position shifts that perfectly echo the design of the watch face.
These brand-new visual elements will be introduced with Apple’s system updates, including watchOS 11.5, iOS 18.5, and iPadOS 18.5, allowing users to download and use them directly on their devices.
Apple stated that they have long been funding and supporting organizations related to the LGBTQ+ community, further conveying the ideals of inclusivity, diversity, and equality through their product designs.
