Apple launched its first tracking device, AirTag, in April 2021, and now, four years later, it’s become a trusty companion for many. Recent news suggests that the next generation, AirTag 2, is on the horizon, potentially debuting alongside the new iPhone and other devices, with an expected reveal in September.
According to reports from foreign media, the brand-new AirTag 2 is expected to feature a new Ultra Wideband chip similar to that of the iPhone 15, which will enhance the tracking range and precision significantly. Additionally, AirTag 2 will see further improvements in privacy, with a newly designed speaker that strengthens the sound alert feature, making it harder to remove. As for its appearance, reports indicate that AirTag 2 will resemble the current first-generation version, suggesting that there may not be significant design changes.
In addition to the AirTag 2, foreign media have also predicted that alongside the new iPhone set to launch in September (speculated to be the iPhone 26), new generations of products such as the Apple Watch Ultra 3, Apple Watch Series 11, and AirPods Pro 3 will make their debut. The release of these new products not only boosts Apple’s competitiveness in the tech electronics sector but also reignites consumer anticipation for its product ecosystem.
