The world-renowned Japanese audio brand Audio-Technica, commonly referred to as Audio-Technica, has established itself as a leader in the realm of turntable technology. Most recently, they made a dazzling debut at Milan Design Week with the launch of their brand-new Hotaru turntable. This exquisite piece strikes a perfect balance between cutting-edge design and functionality. Featuring patented magnetic levitation technology, the upper platter hovers above the base, effectively minimizing vibrations. Additionally, the built-in lighting system dynamically shifts colors in sync with the rhythm of the music being played, elevating the vinyl listening experience to an entirely new level.
This Hotaru turntable is crafted from translucent acrylic material, ingeniously concealing its belt-drive system. It offers three distinct lighting modes, allowing users to choose from 20 static colors, a gradient mode, or an interactive mode that syncs with the rhythm of the music. Unlike typical party speakers, Hotaru's lighting effects are more refined, creating a relaxed and laid-back vibe rather than a purely high-energy atmosphere.
The base of Hotaru is crafted from sturdy aluminum material, featuring solid brass feet for added stability. Its built-in sound system includes two 63.5mm full-range speakers and a pair of tweeters. Additionally, it comes equipped with a line-out interface, allowing for seamless connection to external sound systems. To meet users' needs for deep bass effects, it also provides a dedicated subwoofer output.
Audio-Technica will release a limited production of 1,000 Hotaru vinyl turntables, priced at $9,999 each. Customers can now place their pre-orders via Audio-Technica's official website, with shipments expected to begin in October. The pre-order period ends on May 30.
