The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-chiu, recently led a delegation on a four-day visit to Zhejiang, Hangzhou, aiming to deepen collaboration between Hong Kong and Zhejiang. The itinerary included a visit to the Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City exhibition hall to gain insights into the innovative achievements of Hangzhou Six Little Dragons across various fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and game development. He also personally tried out the Chinese-developed game Black Myth: Wukong and visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University’s Medical School to experience the latest smart healthcare technologies.
At the Future Technology City exhibition hall, John Lee focused on learning about Hangzhou Six Little Dragons—DeepSeek, Unitree Technology, Game Science, QuCore Technology, Yunsenchu Technology, and StrongBrain Technology’s breakthroughs. Significant advancements have been made in many fields, such as DeepSeek’s RAGNA-7B AI model, reportedly matching the performance of ChatGPT-4 and widely applied in financial and medical data analysis. Unitree Technology showcased its quadruped robot, Unitree Go2, which not only possesses environmental awareness capabilities but also supports autonomous navigation. The company plans to establish a research and development center in Hong Kong, injecting new momentum into future technological advancements. After trying Black Myth: Wukong, John Lee praised its successful integration of traditional Chinese mythology with modern technology, noting its effective establishment of a cultural IP that will undoubtedly spark a surge in related merchandise in the future.
John Lee also visited the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, where he experienced the AI-guided diagnostic robot and automated medication delivery system, praising their efficiency and user-centric design. The application of non-invasive brain-computer interface technology developed by StrongBrain Technology in daily life also drew attention during this visit. The company’s intelligent bionic prosthetic hand, which allows independent finger movements controlled by consciousness, has proven to be particularly helpful in the art of calligraphy. StrongBrain Technology’s founder, Han Bicheng, expressed a desire to strengthen collaboration with Hong Kong to further drive technological innovation. John Lee emphasized that Hong Kong is committed to investing in artificial intelligence and robotics technology, advancing digital transformation in public services, and enabling citizens to fully enjoy the convenience brought by technological advancements.
