The Apple Swift Student Challenge is calling on students around the globe to unleash their creativity using the Swift programming language, boosting their creative and technical prowess in the process. Contestants must submit a 3-minute App Playground creation, with themes that they can freely choose. The entries will be judged based on technical excellence, innovation, social impact, and inclusiveness.
Students can amp up their skills through Apple’s educational offerings like Swift Playgrounds and Xcode, and also dive into hands-on learning with Today at Apple’s in-person workshops for some pro guidance. To tap into these resources, students need to tick a few boxes: be at least 13 years old in the U.S. (or meet the age requirement specific to their region), have an Apple Developer account, and, here’s the kicker, they can’t be professional developers yet.
All 350 winners will snag a series of perks, and the crème de la crème, a select 50 who clinched the "Outstanding Award," are in for a treat. They'll be jetting off to Apple's very own HQ in Cupertino for a fab three-day extravaganza—all expenses paid, courtesy of Apple. During this jamboree, they'll get the chance to hobnob with Apple's engineers and dive into a slew of unique activities designed to broaden their horizons in their professional fields. Time to pack those bags and prep for a brainstorm—Cupertino style!
