The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 series is set to debut tonight at 2:00 AM Hong Kong time. The highlight of the Galaxy S26 isn’t a hardware upgrade, but it will be the world’s first true Multiple AI Assistants smartphone.
Samsung is embedding Perplexity AI directly at the OS level, allowing users to activate it with voice commands Hey Plex or by holding down the side button, enabling comprehensive searches and complex workflows. The most practical feature is that Perplexity can automatically save answers to Notes, set Reminders, and even add events to the Calendar, eliminating the need for manual copy and paste.

The Galaxy S26 supports three AI agents operating simultaneously: Perplexity handles search, Gemini manages Google services, and Bixby—enhanced by the Perplexity Sonar API—controls Samsung’s native apps. According to Bloomberg, Samsung is betting on a multi-assistant strategy to respond to the trend of users utilizing multiple AI tools at once.
One UI 8.5 introduces a smart keyboard suggestion feature that scans your emails and messages to automatically recommend content for sharing. Within the browser, you can directly use AI to ask questions, summarize, and translate webpages without needing to leave the app.
In terms of hardware, the S26 series is expected to maintain three models, starting with 256GB and eliminating the 128GB version. A key feature is the Privacy Display, which prevents prying eyes from seeing the content from the side. Pricing information suggests starting at €999 (around $8,400), with the S26 Ultra priced at €1,469 (approximately $12,300).
Introducing the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, featuring head gesture controls, an impressive 26 hours of battery life, and remote photography capabilities. The entry-level Buds 4 come with an open design and offer 24 hours of battery life.
