The upcoming Sigma brand-new BF camera is not just about technological innovation but also a complete rebranding. Alongside a new wordmark, logo, and revamped website, Sigma has also updated all product packaging to showcase a minimalist and refreshing style.
The standout feature of the new packaging is the embossed Sigma logo on the cardboard, adding a sense of depth and uniqueness to the design. Different categories of products are distinguished by their own color schemes: for instance, camera straps and chargers come in gold, while lenses are available in black, beige, blue, and olive green. As for the BF camera, it comes in a classic mid-gray. These minimalist yet sophisticated color combinations clearly showcase the brand's professional image.
With more and more people focusing on environmental considerations, Sigma showcases how sustainability and design can harmoniously unite with their new packaging. They have significantly reduced the additional items and plastic materials commonly found in traditional packaging, opting instead for more sustainable materials. Notably, Sigma has specifically chosen plant-based vegetable oil ink for printing, further minimizing their environmental impact.
In addition, to maximize resource efficiency, current inventory products will continue using the old packaging until the new design is gradually applied to all new products. Through this rebranding effort, Sigma has demonstrated that eco-friendly packaging can not only meet the demands of sustainable development but also maintain a high level of visual appeal and brand consistency.
