Sigma has recently launched a brand new BF full-frame mirrorless camera, centered around a minimalist design. This camera features an impressive 24.6-megapixel sensor, built-in 230GB storage, and powerful 6K video capabilities, aiming to provide photographers with a pure photography experience. The body of this camera is crafted using aluminum alloy monocoque technology, meticulously shaped from a single block of aluminum over 7 hours to ensure exceptional durability. Sigma hopes that through the camera's simplified user interface and tactile feedback system, users will feel at ease during their shooting process.
The BF camera features a 24.6-megapixel full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor, delivering high resolution and a wide dynamic range, excelling in capturing image details. Its autofocus system combines phase detection and contrast detection technologies, supporting portrait and animal tracking. Even in rapidly changing shooting environments, it can quickly focus and capture stunning moments.
When it comes to filming, the BF camera can record high-quality videos up to 6K and supports L-Log settings, catering to the needs of professional users in post-production color grading. Whether for documentary creation or commercial photography, it delivers exceptional performance.
In terms of user experience, the BF embraces a minimalist aesthetic. The entire device has only three buttons, one dial, and a shutter key, significantly simplifying operations to present the most intuitive interface possible. Users can directly adjust key shooting parameters like shutter speed, aperture, ISO sensitivity, exposure compensation, and color mode through the touchscreen, eliminating cumbersome steps and allowing them to focus on composition and creativity. The BF is also the first mirrorless camera to introduce haptic feedback technology in its dials and buttons, providing just the right amount of vibration feedback during operation to enhance interactivity in shooting.
When it comes to storage capacity, the BF boasts a generous 230GB of space, enough to hold over 14,000 JPEG photos, 4,300 uncompressed RAW images, or about 2.5 hours of high-quality video. Plus, users can conveniently charge and transfer data via the USB-C port, making it super handy for outdoor shoots or everyday use without any worries.
