With the rise of generative AI, the content creation industry is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. According to analyses from external agencies, the global AI short video market reached a value of $553 million in 2023, with forecasts suggesting a 35% expansion by 2030. To cater to this rapidly growing market, VisionStory AI, a company dedicated to the application of AI technology, has launched an AI-based short video generation platform and has recently expanded its operations into the European and American markets, aiming to meet the diverse needs of various businesses.
VisionStory AI's short video generation service harnesses advanced AI learning capabilities and generative technologies. With just a single image, a piece of text, or audio from the user, they can create highly realistic Talking Avatar style videos. Currently, their service supports over 30 languages, including authentic Cantonese, allowing them to produce video content that closely aligns with local cultures.
In a conversation with VisionStory AI's Operations Director Zheng Ying, he highlighted how this type of generative AI significantly enhances the quality and production efficiency of short films. Previously, creating similar virtual avatar narration videos required users to pre-record a video and shoot it against a green screen. Today's technology allows them to delegate all of that tedious work to AI. Users simply need to upload a photo, and the AI can quickly generate a short film featuring a dialogue between two people, effortlessly switching angles and content, which drastically reduces production time. Now, generating a 10-second video only takes 50 seconds of processing time, and it can even produce instant clips with a delay of just a few hundred milliseconds.
It has been reported that many schools and businesses are already incorporating AI short films as teaching tools, while content creators are leveraging this technology to produce videos. In the future, VisionStory AI plans to further enhance the learning capabilities of AI, increase the physical movements of virtual avatars, and achieve a higher level of interactivity. Zheng Ying pointed out that future characters in these AI short films will go beyond simple dialogue and evolve into performing roles or characters with unique personalities, gradually making AI short film technology an accessible tool for the general public.
In future expansion plans, Zheng Ying mentioned that VisionStory AI will venture into the European and American markets. However, even when entering Asia and breaking into the Chinese market, VisionStory AI had already adopted AWS services to expand into the Hong Kong market. He stated that businesses using AWS's EFS service can reduce costs while meeting user traffic demands, and optimize server usage efficiency through data sharding technology. Moreover, AWS's CloudFront service has also helped them integrate their product's front and back-end, further reducing R&D expenses.
Looking at the bigger picture, amidst the global surge of generative AI, VisionStory AI is transforming the future of content creation with its unique AI short film generation technology, bringing about a revolution for creators. As the global market for AI short films rapidly expands, companies like VisionStory AI that offer high cost-effectiveness and efficient services are destined to become market leaders, helping numerous small to medium-sized enterprises and creators weave their own success stories with AI.
