LEGO Ideas provides a creative platform for fans and designers who love LEGO, allowing them to showcase their original designs to the LEGO community. If their designs gain enough support, they will be reviewed by the company to decide whether to bring them into production. Since the launch of this program 17 years ago, only a select few designs have been chosen in each round of reviews.
One of the recently selected designs is the Luxo Jr. created by Toby Brett, a classic character from Pixar. This adorable table lamp made its debut in the animated short film Playful Jumping Light back in 1986. The Luxo Jr. set features 613 pieces, stands over 11 inches tall, and boasts full mobility, perfectly recreating its iconic bouncing and rotating movements. Additionally, the set includes Disney Pixar's signature red star ball, which is filled with little Easter eggs paying homage to popular Pixar films like The Ratatouille, Toy Story, and more.
For fans looking to get their hands on the LEGO Ideas Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. set, pre-orders are now available on the LEGO official website, priced at $70. This set is expected to ship soon and will be open for purchase to the general public.
