Co-created by the Eaton Residences Causeway Bay Hong Kong and Hong Kong Tramways, 《Ding Ding Qipao Tour》 perfectly blends nostalgic charm with cultural exploration. Every weekend, participants can don traditional qipao or cheongsam and hop aboard a vintage open-top tram designed in the style of the 1920s, traveling between Sheung Wan and Causeway Bay. This journey offers glimpses of Hong Kong’s yesteryears, capturing the city’s urban scenery and cultural essence. The activity begins at Yan Sheung Kee in Central, where guests can select and rent their preferred attire, with options available for women, men, and even children—making it the ideal experience for couples, friends, or families to enjoy together. The entire 《Full View Tram Tour》 experience lasts around one hour, illustrating Hong Kong’s historical footprint from both visual and cultural perspectives.

This cultural project not only brings the urban charm of the 1960s back to life but also designs a miniature time-travel experience. After completing the tram journey, participants can take a short walk to the nearby Lanson Place Causeway Bay Hotel and enjoy a bespoke cocktail at the elegant Salon Lanson—The World of Suzie Wong. This drink, inspired by the classic 1960s Hong Kong-based movie 《The World of Suzie Wong》, perfectly complements the cheongsam theme, serving as one of the highlights of the entire experience.
The package is priced at HKD 580 per person and includes a one-hour one-way tram sightseeing journey, one 《Yan Shang Ji》 qipao rental (to be returned the next afternoon). Guests can also opt to enjoy the aforementioned cocktail for an additional HKD 68. The hotel has also launched the 《Elegant Fashion Time》 accommodation offer, with rates starting from HKD 2,430. This includes two experience packages and two cocktails. This offer is available exclusively on weekends for a three-month period. Please note that a 10% service charge and 3% hotel tax will also be applied.

The reopening of the Lanson Place Causeway Bay Hotel has brought a fresh modern design to its classic space, seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary living. By engaging actively with the local community, the hotel underscores its dedication to preserving history while embracing modern culture. Its collaboration with Hong Kong Tramways perfectly reflects their shared commitment to storytelling within the city, aiming to offer visitors and locals a cultural experience that feels fresh yet familiar. Whether you’re new to Hong Kong or a longtime resident with deep ties to the city’s history, Ding Ding Qipao Tour provides an immersive window into the past, recapturing the elegance and charm of old Hong Kong.
