Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s brand new single “luther” has successfully topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, rising one spot and replacing Kendrick’s earlier diss track aimed at Drake, “Not Like Us,” to claim the number one spot.
According to the latest data, “Luther” has achieved 46.7 million radio audience impressions during its recent listening period and also accumulated 45.2 million official streams, marking a 6% increase from last week. Additionally, the song has sold 6,000 physical and digital copies. This achievement makes “Luther” Kendrick Lamar’s sixth Billboard Hot 100 number one hit, with previous chart-toppers including “Squabble Up,” “Not Like Us,” and collaborations with Future and Metro Boomin on “Like That,” as well as the classic hit “HUMBLE.” and the collaborative track “Bad Blood” with Taylor Swift.
For SZA, “Luther” marks her third number one single, following her chart-topping hits “Slime You Out” in collaboration with Drake and her solo track “Kill Bill.” This further solidifies her position in the contemporary R&B music scene.
Kendrick and SZA’s collaboration once again proves that both artists not only possess exceptional musical talent but also shine even brighter when they join forces. With the steady chart dominance of “luther,” the music world will keep a close eye on the next moves of these two superstars.
