The pop queen Lady Gaga has officially released her much-anticipated new album “MAYHEM,” marking her long-awaited return to pop music. Facing the psychological challenges of stepping back into the pop genre has served as an inspiration for this album. She also mentioned that her fiancé encouraged her to reignite her passion for pop music, and the album includes a track titled “Blade of Grass,” inspired by their proposal story.
In a recent interview, Lady Gaga revealed that her fiancé, Michael Polansky, is the driving force behind her return to pop music. Michael once shared, “During her ‘Chromatica’ tour, I saw the passion in her heart. I hope to keep inspiring her to create music that makes her happy.” The song “Blade of Grass” from this album is a love letter to Michael, inspired by his question about her marriage proposal wishes in their backyard. Gaga sweetly reminisces, “I told him I wanted a blade of grass wrapped around my finger, and that would make me happy. I still remember his expression at that moment, the grass, and that longest blade in the center, which made me feel especially joyful.”
Gaga shares that “MAYHEM” embodies her passion for music, woven with diverse styles and dreams. She describes, “In the face of all the chaos in my life, the answer I found is to ‘seek peace in love.'” She likens this creative process to reassembling a shattered mirror, adding, “Even if you can’t perfectly piece the shards back together, you can still create a beautiful and complete work with a brand new look.”
Lady Gaga’s brand new album “MAYHEM” is now available on all major streaming platforms, so make sure to check it out!
