Focus Features has recently unveiled the first official trailer for Wes Anderson’s latest spy-themed black comedy. With a star-studded cast, it’s already generating significant buzz.
The film revolves around Zsa-zsa Korda, played by Benicio del Toro, a wealthy man who has narrowly escaped death multiple times, surviving six near-fatal crises. Zsa-zsa has ten children, but his only daughter, Liesel (portrayed by Mia Slaypleton), is a nun, and the relationship between the two is deeply estranged. Despite this, Zsa-zsa names Liesel as the sole heir in his will. The story follows Zsa-zsa, Liesel, and their tutor, Bjorn (played by Michael Cera), as they embark on a journey. This adventure aims to ensure the successful realization of what Zsa-zsa describes as “the most important plan of his life.” The trailer exudes a strangely mysterious and humorous tone, building anticipation for the revelation of this enigmatic plan.
Wes Anderson’s 13th feature film boasts an incredibly star-studded cast. The lineup includes acclaimed actors such as Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis, among others. Once again, Wes Anderson has teamed up with his long-time collaborator Roman Coppola to co-write the story. The production team features notable names like Steven Rales, Jeremy Dawson, and John Peet.
This movie is set to be officially released soon, and the anticipation is building up.
