The highly anticipated annual Whisky Live & Fine Spirits Macau 2025 is set to return to the Grand Lisboa Resort in Macau from November 28 to 29. This year, the event has undergone a complete upgrade, featuring over 80 international brands and more than 500 varieties of whisky and spirits. This two-day extravaganza is not just about tasting; it’s an immersive sensory journey woven together with flavors, music, culture, and art, promising whisky enthusiasts, collectors, and those who appreciate the finer things in life an unprecedented exploration experience.

What stands out this year is the introduction of Asian Bar Show, featuring bar maestros from 12 top-tier bars across Asia showcasing their mixology skills live on stage. No need to travel far and wide; just being at the venue lets you immerse yourself in a vibrant world of diverse cocktail styles and creations. Key highlights include the Mesa Bar, helmed by the 2024 World Cocktail Championship winner Frederick Ma, who is also the chief mixologist at the Grand Lisboa, known for his distinct style and precise techniques. Another standout is the Hong Kong bar Alibi – Wine Dine Be Social, led by Jennifer Ho, which was crowned the champion of the Hennessy My Way Hong Kong & Macau 2025 and shortlisted in the HK Bar Awards’ annual Top 20. The lineup also features renowned cocktail spots from across Asia, including Guangzhou’s Hope & Sesame, Taipei’s To Infinity & Beyond, Kyoto’s Bee’s Knees, Jakarta’s Carrots Bar, Hong Kong’s The Opposites, and Macau’s Two Moons, giving guests a taste of the finest cocktail culture the continent has to offer.

This event also introduces an annual limited edition delicacy — Tsunuki Single Cask Whisky Live Macau 2025. This single malt whisky, crafted exclusively for the event by Tsunuki Distillery, is made from peated malt and aged for six years in creamy sherry casks. It offers an intense smoky aroma complemented by a smooth, sweet texture, showcasing rich layers with a long finish. Each bottle is 700ml with an alcohol content of 58%, limited to just 500 bottles, and can only be purchased with a ticket package for the event, making it a highly valuable choice for both tasting and collecting.

The two-day event will also feature live music performances, enhancing the overall immersive atmosphere. On November 28, jazz legend Eugene Pao and his quartet will perform, delivering a live set that blends artistry with emotion. The following day, the popular local DJ group Beat Friday will take over, creating a party vibe infused with classic Cantonese tracks and disco remixes, capturing a sense of local spirit and rhythm. From jazz to Cantonese pop, the live beats and aromas of drinks will complement each other, adding more depth to the event.

Several restaurants at The Venetian Macao will participate in an event, launching a series of whiskey-themed food promotions and special menus that extend the tasting experience to the dining table. A VIP area will be available, allowing guests to enjoy fine wines in a comfortable space while appreciating performances and engaging with brand representatives. Throughout November, various restaurants in the resort will introduce whiskey-infused dishes, adding a rich aromatic essence of whiskey to the city.
Additionally, the event will host multiple masterclasses led by representatives from international distilleries, featuring experts from Tsunuki, Shindo Distillery, Elixir Distillers, Douglas Laing & Co., and La Maison du Whisky. These sessions will delve into the history of the brands, the unique characteristics of their spirits, and the philosophy behind their craft—perfect for attendees eager to deepen their understanding of whisky culture.
To enhance the experience for guests, SJM Resorts is launching a range of accommodation packages that combine event tickets, tasting tokens, and lodging perks to create a seamless journey.
