Open-world elements have become incredibly common today, but there aren’t many games that can introduce elements that operate independently like Red Dead Redemption 2. Surprisingly, a similar innovation has emerged in Mario Kart World. Recently, players discovered on the foreign forum Reddit that the railway system under Free mode features fixed routes, and they even created a route map, much to the delight of many railway enthusiasts.
In the latest release of Mario Kart World, players can not only participate in Grand Prix, but also explore a vast open world within Free mode. This game setting includes not just racetracks, but also infrastructure like roads and railways connecting different cities. Reddit user JoMax213 discovered the unique route of Sunshine Railway railway and created a detailed Railway route map for it.
He pointed out that there are a total of six railway lines here, almost covering the entire continent. However, it is unfortunate that they do not reach volcanic areas like Kubo Castle, forest areas like Acorn Tree Town, and the remote southern islands. Each main line has stations where trains stop at major stations for passengers to board and disembark, with only a few exceptions. Additionally, this player discovered a twisted pipeline leading to the southern city Crown City, which seems to hint at the potential introduction of an underground railway in the future, undoubtedly bringing endless possibilities with each update.
This discovery undoubtedly heightens the anticipation among players worldwide for the secrets under Free mode. Everyone is eager to see what surprises Nintendo has in store for us. Mario Kart World has officially launched, supporting the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.
