The new game How to Escape: Lost Submarine (Dual Escape: The Lost Submarine) from the independent development team Breakfirst Games is set to launch soon. This game features a unique two-player cooperative puzzle experience where players can collaborate from two different perspectives to solve various mysteries. Plus, you only need to buy one copy of the game to enjoy all the fun, making it highly recommended for those who love a mental challenge!
How to Escape: Lost Submarine is an online cooperative escape room game set against the backdrop of a critical Allied military base that has been captured by enemy forces. In an effort to reclaim the base, the government planned to launch a torpedo attack. However, after internal discussions aimed at avoiding a larger scale conflict, they ultimately scrapped the attack order. Unfortunately, the submarine carrying the torpedo, Triumphal Ship, had already gone beyond communication range, making it impossible to verify whether the cancellation order was received. To prevent unnecessary disaster, the military dispatched two elite experts to locate the lost submarine. What they soon discover is that the challenges ahead are far more complex than they could have imagined, as the government's decisions lead to a moral and human struggle.
In the game, two players must utilize their unique perspectives to cooperate effectively. Player one dives deep into the submarine to explore the environment, investigate objects, and crack puzzles. Meanwhile, player two can gather critical information through a dedicated mobile app, and in certain cases, even swap roles. Both characters hold equal importance, needing to rely on mutual observation, deduction, and communication to unravel the intricate layers of mystery.
The diversity of puzzles makes the game incredibly challenging. For instance, in the circuit puzzle, one player needs to focus on the wiring diagram while the other handles the operations. During the maze escape, one player navigates using the map while the other moves through the environment from a first-person perspective. What’s even more enticing is that this game allows two players to enjoy it together with just one purchase.
How to Escape: Lost Submarine (Two-Person Escape: The Lost Submarine) will be launched on June 2, available on platforms including PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC Steam, with a playable demo available for download.
