The indie role-playing game Sea Fantasy, beloved by players, initially launched on Steam with high acclaim and is now making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Sea Fantasy is a creation from the independent Japanese studio Metasla. Set in an alternate world where much of the land is submerged, players take on the roles of Rod, a young boy from a small island, and Axel, as they fish their way to stop the revival of biochemical weapons, ultimately aiming to save the world.
The fishing gameplay is incredibly unique, requiring players to click promptly within the progress bar of Target Area or Key Area to deal damage to the mysterious marine creature SeaAZ. However, the game features a wide variety of fish, each with its own characteristics. Some rare species even set traps, challenging players' angling skills. For example, certain fish might suddenly speed up or expand the non-clickable area, adding layers of diversity and fun to the game.
The fish caught with SeaAZ can be used to craft new fishing rods and hooks, utilizing stronger gear to advance the storyline. Additionally, players can sail the seas to explore a vast world, experiencing diverse gameplay that includes diving into the depths of the ocean in submarines and adventuring through dungeons to uncover hidden treasures, enriching the game content even further.
The Nintendo Switch version of Sea Fantasy will support Traditional Chinese and will include the major DLC from the June update, so get ready to dive into this thrilling fishing adventure! Release dates for versions on other platforms like Xbox Series X|S and PS5 have not yet been announced.
