Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC, and LEGO have jointly announced a brand new action-adventure game LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This game will take players on a journey through The Dark Knight, showcasing legendary moments across comics, television, film, and gaming since 1986, all infused with TT Games' signature LEGO humor. The game is set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The story begins with a young Bruce Wayne training at Shadow Warrior Alliance, then expands to unite allies like Robin, Catwoman, Nightwing, and Jim Gordon to fight together. Players will also face off against classic villains such as the Joker, the Penguin, Poison Ivy, Bane, and Ra's al Ghul.
The new release introduces an entirely revamped Combating Crime combat system, focusing on smooth combos, finishing moves, and a variety of gadgets. Gotham City will be presented in a fully open-world format, allowing players to traverse rooftops, alleys, and landmarks using grappling hooks, gliding, or driving. Additionally, the game supports local split-screen co-op, and customizable Bat Cave can showcase vehicles, loot, and unlockable costumes, including the one that first appeared in 1939, Golden Age Batsuit. Currently, the game is open for wishlisting and will officially launch in 2026.
The official announcement has been released, and players are welcome to check it out right away.
