Netflix has recently been focusing on creating One Piece One Piece as a live-action series, with the first season becoming the most popular live-action adaptation in the platform's history. Recently, Netflix announced that filming for the second season has been successfully completed and officially revealed the first batch of stills, heightening anticipation for the Straw Hat Crew's powerful return in 2026.
According to reports, the second season will premiere on Netflix next year, with filming successfully wrapped up earlier this year. The official announcement also revealed that during the One Piece Day event, more significant details regarding the live-action series will be announced in Japan from August 9 to 10. This event will feature a variety of celebratory elements, including animation, card games, comics, and live-action, and will be streamed live globally through the One Piece official English YouTube channel, with specific details yet to be disclosed.
The second season will be adapted from Eiichiro Oda's original manga, covering chapters Rogetown, Upside Down Mountain (Gemini Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Magnetic Drum Island. As Luffy and his Straw Hat crew officially set sail on the Grand Line, this season will introduce a wealth of new scenes and numerous new characters, further expanding the cast of the series.
