在兩年前,7-Eleven 意外推出的高爾夫系列引發了廣泛的關注,雖然最初未能形成持久的潮流,但該系列已展現出其強大的生命力,每年回歸都增添了更高的可信度及動能。
Last year, the convenience store chain invited well-known figures from the online golf scene, Jordan Rogers and Colin Landforce. This year, they have brought in the renowned photographer Kohjiro Kinno to capture the brand new Midnight Driving Club collection. This series pays homage to Japanese street culture, an area where 7-Eleven has always excelled locally, showcasing a distinctly different stylistic tone. Unlike previous collections that leaned towards a more Roadside Station Style American style, this one emphasizes neutral tones and employs a cleaner brand vocabulary along with a striking nighttime aesthetic.
The addition of Kohjiro Kinno is truly perfect; he excels at capturing the essence of golf through the lens of art and film, beautifully aligning with the creative direction of this project. The casting showcases a shared aesthetic between golf and culture.
The standout pieces in this collection include Topographic Jersey Polo and Technical Polo, both crafted from functional fabrics that highlight a significant departure from previous 7-Eleven collections. On the flip side, the design featuring Japanese text alongside the Midnight Driving Club logo appears on cardigans, utility jackets, and bucket hats, paying tribute to the automotive power and passionate spirit behind the name. The entire collection is now available on the official 7-Eleven online store.
