Bang Chan, a member of the South Korean boy group Stray Kids, has released a brand new single themed around FENDI, titled Roman Empire. The music video has also just dropped on YouTube.
This music video was specifically filmed at FENDI's headquarters, Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, in Rome. This Fascist architecture, designed in 1937, was originally built for the Roman Civilization Exhibition during the 1942 World Expo. The building rises six stories high and is clad in travertine marble. In 2015, the Italian brand FENDI relocated its headquarters to this iconic site.
This single's lyrics and production were entirely handled by Bang Chan, who serves as the brand ambassador for FENDI, and the entire music video features him in FENDI's latest collection. The lyrics are quite thoughtful, mentioning elements that represent FENDI like F — You’re the F to my F, yes
We’ll never grow old, “Forever F” , as well as the iconic Peekaboo bag — You showed up unexpectedly, just like a game of Peekaboo. It totally took me by surprise whenever I catch a glimpse of you., and also referring to the brand's origins in Rome — Let me take you on an adventure in Rome..
In fact, this isn't the first time a singer has created a song themed around FENDI. Back in 2018, Jackson Wang released the single FENDIMAN, and earlier this year, Chinese singer Song Yuqi launched the single FENDI, perfectly blending music and art with fashion.
In addition to YouTube, the Bang Chan Roman Empire music video will have a special premiere on the giant screen at K-pop Square in COEX, Seoul, keeping fans in the area on high alert. The brand will also host a private event at the Palazzo FENDI boutique in Seoul on November 4, where Bang Chan will perform live.
