Japanese streetwear brand A BATHING APE has teamed up with KidSuper founder Colm Dillane to launch the brand-new BAPE By KidSuper collection, marking the first creative project under the BAPE COLLECTIVE initiative. This collaboration series aims to provide partners with a unique platform for creativity, allowing them to dive deep into the brand’s rich history and reinterpret BAPE's iconic symbols and classic motifs through their own perspectives.
For Colm Dillane and BAPE, the BAPE By KidSuper collection marks an exciting new milestone. Reflecting on Dillane's early career, he once stood outside BAPE product launches armed with an iron, customizing T-shirts for streetwear enthusiasts waiting in line. Today, he’s transitioned from a humble street vendor to the star of his very own BAPE collection.
The BAPE By KidSuper collection made its debut at KidSuper’s recent Fall/Winter 2025 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, unveiling a range of apparel and footwear infused with groundbreaking designs. Through KidSuper’s unique lens, the collection reinterprets BAPE’s iconic visual elements, such as blending BAPE’s signature camo with KidSuper’s trademark face motif. It also creatively flips the SHARK HOODIE’s shark face upside down, turning it into a playful smiley face. Adding to the fun, the BAPE STA shoebox features a comic-inspired design. The entire collection is set to officially launch in April.
