A BATHING APE® has recently teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum to launch an exciting new collaboration, aiming to blend exquisite art with streetwear in a vibrant tribute to the legendary artist Vincent Van Gogh and his remarkable life and work.
This collaboration seamlessly blends BAPE's signature design style with the classic artworks of Van Gogh, featuring pieces like Self-Portrait (Gray Felt Hat) (1887), A blooming plum orchard (1887), Yellow House (1888), Sunflower (1889), Blooming apricot trees (1890), and Crows and the Wheat Field (1890). These masterpieces are intricately integrated with BAPE's iconic elements.
One of the standout features of the collection is the APE HEAD patterned six styles of T-shirts, arranged chronologically, showcasing the aforementioned artworks. Additionally, the classic Shark Hoodie has been infused with elements of Van Gogh's artistry, launching a brand new OIL PAINTING CAMO camouflage pattern that cleverly incorporates the brushstroke variations of the paintings into BAPE's signature camo design. The collection also includes excerpts from the letters Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo, adding a deeper layer of personalization and emotional connection to the products.
