Since establishing its first flagship store in Taipei in 2013, Carhartt WIP has rapidly expanded its market presence, with over a decade of street culture experience turning it into a symbol of workwear style in Taiwan. The brand's new flagship store in Taipei introduces the globally renowned Coffee Corner concept, strategically located in the heart of the Eastern District, marking a significant direct retail presence for the brand in the city. Spanning approximately 80 ping, this store is the largest physical retail outlet in Taiwan, symbolizing the brand's deep commitment to the local culture and community.
The brand-new store is nestled in the alleys of Taipei's East District, offering a spacious two-story shopping environment designed to be a key point connecting the brand's spirit with the city's pulse. The design of the store is handled by Milan-based designer Andrea Caputo and his studio, who have been long-term collaborators. It continues the workwear DNA of Carhartt WIP, skillfully blending modern industrial aesthetics with smooth lines to create a space that is both experimental and practical.
The interior design is centered around shades of gray, white, and low-saturation cement, complemented by a specially crafted C-Logo carpet that creates a richly layered spatial atmosphere. Additionally, the integration of various display structures highlights Carhartt WIP’s signature functional aesthetics. True to the tradition of Carhartt WIP stores worldwide, as soon as you step through the front door, you’re greeted by a unique Carhartt Liquid Logo Installation created by German artist Pietro Sanguinetti, making it the store's distinctive hallmark and an eye-catching attraction.
The store beautifully blends sturdy architectural elements with natural wooden furniture, enhancing the overall feel and continuity of the space through sleek metal display racks. This marks the brand's first dedicated coffee area in Taiwan, allowing customers to savor a fresh, immersive shopping experience while harmoniously fusing with the unique leisure and comfort vibe of the Eastern District.
To celebrate the reopening of the Taipei flagship store, Carhartt WIP is continuing its exclusive concept of the global Coffee Corner, launching two limited edition T-shirts. The designs incorporate the unique Taiwan Salamander, showcasing the island's vibrant character with a blue-green color palette. These limited edition T-shirts will be available exclusively at the Carhartt WIP Taipei flagship store soon, and each purchase comes with a set of limited stickers. Supplies are limited, so they’re first come, first served (stickers are complimentary and not available for separate sale).
