CHANEL announces its newest brand ambassador and eyewear campaign spokesperson, Kendrick Lamar, marking the first collaborative promotional campaign between the brand and the artist.
For the Spring/Summer 2025 eyewear campaign, Kendrick Lamar joined forces with Lupita Nyong’o, Margaret Qualley, and Nana Komatsu—fellow brand ambassadors—bringing to life a design concept that embraces four distinct faces of the same generation. Shot by Karim Sadli, each ambassador wore uniquely striking eyewear, embodying their talent and a bold spirit of artistic innovation.
All eyewear designs embody CHANEL’s signature elegance, seamlessly blending vintage silhouettes with a modern twist. Lupita Nyong’o and Margaret Qualley have enjoyed a connection with the brand for over a decade, while Nana Komatsu has garnered attention for her stellar performances in films such as 《World of Kanako》. As for Kendrick Lamar, he is a Grammy-winning musical genius and the first rapper to ever receive a Pulitzer Prize.
When Kendrick Lamar shared his experience participating in this eyewear campaign, he said: CHANEL embodies a timeless legacy, which aligns perfectly with the philosophy I have always supported. Since the brand does not offer menswear, I naturally gravitated towards their eyewear collection.
This promotional campaign, released by CHANEL (@chanelofficial), carries significant brand meaning and cultural impact.
