Gucci recently kicked off the 2025 Autumn/Winter menswear and womenswear show at Milan Fashion Week, coinciding with the departure of the brand’s creative director, Sabato De Sarno. This collection not only embodies Gucci’s heritage but also highlights the brand’s deep roots in craftsmanship, taste, and culture, showcasing a fusion of its menswear and womenswear styles at this pivotal 50th-anniversary moment.
This series revolves around the Italian word “sprezzatura,” which embodies the beauty found in imperfection, actively showcasing the soul of Gucci’s aesthetics. Since its inception, Gucci’s designs have always been cinematic, offering pieces for both men and women that are not just luxurious but also full of personality. These versatile designs allow fashion enthusiasts to witness the brand’s stunning moments once again in this grand show.
Models strut down a deep green runway adorned with the interlocking G print, a symbol of the brand’s founder, Guccio Gucci, and a nod to the brand’s fifty-year legacy. The blend of menswear and womenswear showcases a harmonious double helix, where crisp tailoring meets playful design. The sharp lines of men’s suits contrast vividly with the soft qualities of women’s attire, reflecting a clash and balance of different elements.
In terms of color, the collection features a gradient of greens, greys, soft purples, and browns, allowing for a seamless blend in men’s and women’s attire, showcasing the integrity of fashion style. This design draws inspiration from multiple decades, spanning from the pop elements of the 1960s to the present, reflecting Gucci’s continuous evolution in fashion history.
Among them, the Horsebit element is particularly noteworthy, as it is part of Gucci’s iconic design and celebrates its 70th anniversary. The Horsebit appears in various forms across a range of products, from oversized handbags to the new laid-back shoulder bags and even slippers, showcasing its unique charm and diverse styles.
The music for this show was composed by the renowned composer and conductor Justin Hurwitz, who has received multiple accolades from the Oscars. The exclusive score he created was performed live during the event, injecting a cinematic narrative quality into the atmosphere and highlighting the perfect blend and tension between menswear and womenswear.
