Meet OFFGOD:TATE, the vibrant creative duo from Hong Kong's Gen Z scene, made up of brothers Drew and Tate, aged just 19 and 22. Their distinct illustrations, sculptures, and one-of-a-kind wearable 3D printed accessories have not only caught the eye of international fashion and art circles but have also earned accolades from big names like Pharrell and Takashi Murakami. Recently, they took a monumental step by officially collaborating with adidas Originals to launch their first joint collection for 2025, taking local creativity to new heights.
This collection is grounded in the classic designs of adidas Originals, reinterpreting a range of pieces including boxy PU leather jackets, ultra-relaxed Firebird tracksuits, Ringer tees, embossed crossbody bags, and Caps, all infused with OFFGOD:TATE's signature visual language, showcasing a distinctive personality. The iconic Superstar 82 also gets a fresh reinterpretation, featuring details like stitched leather patterns, a matte shell toe, and 3D printed 'Skully' embellishments on the laces, perfectly highlighting the bold and innovative design approach of the two brothers, tightly linking the new generation of art and fashion.
The promotional video is directed by Luke Casey, with cinematography by Elton Fung. It is set in a fictional headquarters of "OFFGOD:TATE Limited," capturing the creative process leading up to the birth of an exciting series, intertwining moments of inspiration and chaos. The video also features local DJ and skateboarder Chui Chai and model Hailey Ko, embodying the fearless spirit of creation that OFFGOD:TATE represents through a playful approach.
The adidas Originals by OFFGOD:TATE 2025 collection is set to land soon on the official adidas Hong Kong website and select stores, with a limited release. Stay tuned!
