LOEWE made waves at the end of last year when it announced its withdrawal from this season’s Paris Fashion Week, leaving many curious and excited about the brand’s new collection. This showcase broke traditional runway concepts with a gender-inclusive format, curated by creative director Jonathan Anderson at the historic residence of Karl Lagerfeld on Rue de la Université in Paris. While the designer himself was absent from the exhibition, his unique editorial style transported viewers straight into his creative universe. The exhibition also featured a collaboration with the Albers Foundation, transforming the geometric works of artists Josef and Ani Albers into woven coats, skirts, and bags, showcasing an endless artistic charm.
The new collection features striking and elongated silhouettes, with relaxed suits effortlessly paired with over-the-knee boots, exuding a laid-back vibe. These boots are showcased alongside a cape jacket reinvented from a baseball T-shirt and a leather trench coat, presenting a unique look. In the menswear section, models sport mohair hoodies and relaxed-fit pants, casually sitting on chairs, complemented by various lightweight, casual footwear that perfectly highlights the brand’s style.
LOEWE is set to head to Tokyo this season for the next stage of its showcase—an exciting large-scale exhibition titled “Crafted World,” which highlights the brand’s unique insights into design and creativity.
