Moncler’s Grenoble collection for the autumn/winter season of 2025 first grabbed attention back in March at the renowned Courchevel alpine airport, showcasing a groundbreaking transformation of urban fabrics into high-performance mountain wear.
The multicultural influence of this French brand shines through in its latest advertisement, featuring a host of global stars. Among them are Brazilian football sensation Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, Olympic gold medalist snowboarder Chloe Kim, renowned French actor Vincent Cassel, and supermodel Amber Valletta. This series, captured by photographer Mario Sorrenti in the stunning Alps, showcases how the concept of Innovation expressed by Moncler is embodied in their distinct designs.
The collection features suede leather, denim, and flannel—materials that aren’t your typical ski options. However, after extensive research by the Moncler Grenoble team, these fabrics have been richly transformed to suit winter conditions. Notably, the design of the denim ski suit might sound unconventional, but it utilizes specialized fabric from the Japanese denim hub of Kojima, which has been treated with advanced technology to offer windproof, waterproof, and breathable performance.
The technical advantages include fully taped seams, elastic knit cuffs with thumb holes, and RECCO® reflectors. For insulation, the interior is crafted with PrimaLoft® Gold Active material, while the added ULTRASUEDE® piping, leather belt, and corduroy collar enhance its luxurious feel.
Additionally, Moncler's winter down jackets are crafted from warm corduroy, wool, and velvet, featuring metallic accents and exquisite leather trimmings. Another style showcases a visually striking quilted technical patchwork design, combining GORE-TEX fabric, four-way stretch nylon, and mechanically extensible DERMIZAX DX, which enhances its waterproof and windproof capabilities.
In the après-ski collection, the use of tonal suede panels and long-haired dyed shearling details combines seamlessly with the essential tech nylon fabric to create a sense of comfort. Meanwhile, wool knit pieces inspired by Irish Aran feature Fair Isle intarsia patterns, injecting a touch of classic winter attire into the collection.
