Since its stunning debut at Paris Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the highly anticipated first collaboration between The North Face and Cecilie Bahnsen is finally set to launch on March 13, 2025. This collection merges elements of haute couture with outdoor gear, perfectly blending Cecilie Bahnsen's romantic and elegant design style with The North Face's professional outdoor performance, creating a range of pieces that showcase a new functional aesthetic while balancing both utility and beauty.
To celebrate this collaboration, the brand has specially invited 2024 Olympic silver medalist Brooke Raboutou, five-time UK climbing champion Molly Thompson-Smith, and professional climber Solenne Piret to shoot a stunning advertising campaign at the famous climbing spot of Fontainebleau, just outside of Paris. These three women not only symbolize the perfect fusion of strength and artistry but also demonstrate how Cecilie Bahnsen's classic designs harmoniously coexist with The North Face's functional fabrics, achieving a balance between everyday and outdoor life.
This collection draws inspiration from The North Face's iconic products, paying tribute to one of the brand's founding design team members, Ingrid Harshbarger, and her classic designs. The entire line features a sleek all-black aesthetic paired with Cecilie Bahnsen's signature minimalist floral patterns, showcasing a unique beauty. Cecilie Bahnsen says, "I have always admired women around the world who interpret my designs through their own style, and this collaboration continues that spirit. The North Face's impeccable craftsmanship perfectly complements my designs, offering both comfort and practicality, seamlessly integrating into everyday wear."
The NORTH FACE x CECILIE BAHNSEN collaboration features a range of standout pieces that seamlessly blend outdoor functionality with high fashion. The SARA long parka and FIONA short parka come equipped with a DWR water-repellent coating and DryVent™ waterproof technology. The former boasts a loose, three-dimensional silhouette, enhanced by a matte drawstring and a black glossy floral embossing; the latter incorporates a cinched waist design and hem details, showcasing flexibility and a romantic vibe. Meanwhile, the SHARA functional dress reinterprets the classic parka with waterproof fabric and adjustable straps, where the soft skirt harmonizes with the rugged functionality, emanating a unique charm.
When it comes to accessories, the AUDREY BASE CAMP tote bag features water-resistant materials and a layered design, adorned with a black floral pattern that is both practical and elegantly stylish. The ELLIE functional shorts are made with DryVent™ fabric, complete with a two-way zipper, and the black floral embellishments strike a perfect balance between functionality and fashion. Meanwhile, the MARIA BASE CAMP mini crossbody bag adds a playful touch with its 3D floral embroidery and mini travel bag charm. The CHARLOTTE GLENCLYFFE outdoor functional boots utilize a VIBRAM® rubber outsole, featuring floral embroidery and a pull cord design, focusing on grip and unique style, providing solutions for varying terrains and everyday wear.
The North Face x Cecilie Bahnsen Spring/Summer collaboration will be officially released on March 13, 2025.
