Thug Club has officially launched its Spring/Summer 2026 collection K-Dark Nostalgia. This collection is independently helmed by Kwon Jiyool and draws inspiration from his personal growth experiences—a vibrant journey into menswear exploration. During his school years, Kwon was captivated by the Styleforum community and delved deeply into various fashion archives, forging a strong connection with early 2000s menswear from Europe and Japan that still resonates with him today. This collection is a tribute to the history and its influencers from back then, as several figures Kwon admires continue to hold significant places in his heart.
This season continues the rebellious and decadent vibe of Thug Club, evolving with elements like distressed denim and vintage leather. The brand’s classic trench coat gets a fresh fabric update along with new colorways, enhanced by motorcycle-inspired shoulder pads and an array of rich metallic accessories. At the same time, black sweatpants and hoodies make a strong comeback, featuring crimson cut-out patterns along the sides and sleeves that pay homage to the rugged aesthetics of the early 2000s, all reinterpreted through Kwon’s unique lens.
This collection unfolds like a deeply personal and sincere narrative, paying homage to an era that feels both distant and rugged. In a time when algorithms hadn't yet shaped fashion trends, discovering one's personal style demanded time and curiosity. For Kwon, the experience of scouring the internet for rare pieces after class marked the beginning of his Real World. This emotional connection brings vitality to this season, reigniting subcultures and underground aesthetics through a Post-Hardcore lens.
