UNDERCOVER teams up with Champion once again to launch a brand new capsule collection, this time reinterpreted by designer Jun Takahashi through a unique lens that brings classic sportswear into the modern era. The new collection merges Champion's robust athletic heritage with UNDERCOVER's avant-garde style, striking a perfect balance between functionality and subcultural trends.
The collection features sweatshirts, hoodies, and athletic pants, all constructed with Champion's signature Reverse Weave design, emphasizing durability and comfort. UNDERCOVER employs bold graphic treatments and asymmetric designs, adding a stylish flair that effortlessly balances understated sophistication with a collegiate vibe.
Additionally, this collection showcases layered silhouettes and unexpected material combinations, highlighting Jun Takahashi's unique skill in transforming everyday activewear into forward-thinking fashion while maintaining practicality to cater to the needs of modern life.
In terms of color, the collection is grounded in understated hues like black, gray, and navy blue, accented by vibrant brand logos and pattern elements, reflecting the shared philosophy of both brands towards Inheritance and Innovation. Among the standout pieces is the PYSCHO sweater, a classic Champion staple reimagined with UNDERCOVER's iconic patch. It comes in six color options: Oatmeal, Red, Yellow, Bordeaux, Navy, and Black, retailing for ¥30,800 JPY (approximately US$203), available for pre-order starting October 29.
The other items from the second collaboration between UNDERCOVER and Champion are priced between ¥44,000 and ¥57,200 JPY (approximately US$290 to US$376) and will be available at UNDERCOVER, Champion, and select stores.
