UNIQLO UT’s groundbreaking new collaboration with Doraemon and the Louvre Museum makes a sensational debut.
This collaboration brings together UNIQLO's longstanding relationship with the Louvre and Japan's beloved character Doraemon to launch a truly unique UT collection. The series' designs vividly portray the story of Doraemon and his companions embarking on a fantastical artistic adventure. Even before its official release, it has already sparked widespread attention and discussion.
The design inspiration primarily comes from original illustrations of Doraemon, capturing numerous touching moments. These include Doraemon and Nobita holding hands while admiring the Louvre's iconic masterpiece Mona Lisa, and a romantic scene of them riding the bamboo copter for a nighttime view of the Louvre Pyramid. The chest features intricate embroidery combining elements of Doraemon and the Louvre. Additionally, the series includes playful designs such as Doraemon sculpting Nobita, Shizuka, Suneo, and Gian posed alongside the Nike of Samothrace sculpture, as well as Doraemon reimagined as the model in Vermeer's work Astronomer.
To celebrate the launch of the brand-new "Doraemon meets the Louvre UT" collection, UNIQLO invited Shin E Animation Co., Ltd., the long-time creators of Doraemon animation, to produce a special animated film. The film beautifully depicts Doraemon and Nobita wandering through the art-filled world of the Louvre.
The collection is now available at UNIQLO Taiwan's physical stores and online shop.
