Recently, basketball star Anthony Edwards collaborated with adidas to launch the AE 1, which is arguably one of the most successful player signature shoes in recent years. This shoe hit the market at the end of 2023, and thanks to its unique design and vibrant colorways, paired with a reasonable price, it has become a best-seller in the adidas Basketball lineup.
With the eager anticipation for its next-generation footwear—possibly the AE 2—rumors started circulating online as early as last June. Now, during the latest financial meeting, adidas has slightly hinted at the direction of this new shoe. According to the leaked snippets, the upper structure of the shoe is set for a complete overhaul, featuring a new layer of coverage extending from the sole, showcasing a highly designed look.
According to reports, this shoe model is expected to officially debut this year, and it’s definitely something to look forward to.
Additionally, reports suggest that adidas AE2 will incorporate BOOST cushioning technology, with a projected release around the end of the 2024 holiday season or early 2025, at a suggested retail price of $130, which is $10 higher than the adidas AE1. Currently, there is no official release information about adidas AE 2, but basketball shoe enthusiasts can stay tuned for the latest updates.
