Since its launch in 2014, KEEN's UNEEK collection has successfully disrupted traditional sandal design with its unique "Two Cord And One Sole" structure, quickly becoming a top choice in both outdoor activities and fashion. With a minimalist yet effective design philosophy, this collection cleverly combines shoelaces and soles to perfectly adapt to different foot shapes, catering to the needs of various outdoor pursuits.
The UNEEK series has not only achieved success in design but has also collaborated with well-known brands such as ATMOS, BEAMS, and Engineered Garments to launch limited editions. It has spawned several variants like UNEEK SLIDE, UNEEK O3, and UNEEK NXIS, further solidifying its representative status within the KEEN brand.
The creative inspiration for UNEEK dates back to 2013, when KEEN's Chief Creative Officer Rory Furest Jr. posed a question: "What would a shoe that fits all foot shapes look like?" He replaced the traditional 2D upper design with a knot-based structure, creating a form that can embrace multi-directional spaces. However, due to the complexity of the production process, he faced challenges along the way, but ultimately succeeded in achieving mass production in 2014.
KEEN is set to launch the brand new UNEEK WK sandals soon, with a limited release at the concept store 432Hz in Causeway Bay and its online shop, grabbing the attention of outdoor enthusiasts.
