Teddy Santis’s popular MADE in USA line at New Balance has recently introduced a fresh mint green colorway for the classic running shoe 990v6, dubbed “Avocado/Natural Mint.” This new interpretation of the shoe features refreshing green tones, infused with Santis’s signature neutral color details, ensuring the collection maintains its consistent quality.
This pair of shoes artfully blends three different shades of green to create a striking visual effect. The deep forest green “Avocado” envelops the breathable mesh toe box, midfoot, and collar, providing a stable base. In contrast, the soft green hue of “Natural Mint” adorns the suede upper and heel, giving the overall look a fresh and lightweight feel. The toe, eyelets, and heel feature a darker green, enhancing the sense of depth and detail.
Beyond its green-centric theme, this pair of shoes incorporates slate gray and green-gray as accent colors, enhancing the visual texture. The white tongue complements the dual-tone FuelCell midsole and the gray outsole, making the overall design more harmonious. While this colorway isn’t a complete replica, its rich gradient of greens undoubtedly evokes memories of past classic collaborations, such as Patta x New Balance 990v3 and mita sneakers x Sneakerwolf x New Balance 990v4.
The latest colorway of the New Balance 990v6 MADE in USA, “Avocado/Natural Mint,” has yet to have an official release date confirmed. However, it is expected to debut in the summer of 2025 at a suggested retail price of $200.
